January Update!

Happy New Year!

2012 marks the turning of a new leaf here at Wearing History.  From the beginning of Wearing History Patterns, a few years ago, until recently, I have focused on bringing you updated "reproductions" of vintage style patterns from the 1930s and 1940s.  Over the past six months things have been slowly changing here.  Some of the older patterns got new makeovers including new cover art, new instructions, new cutting layouts, or new sewn samples.  In fact, since the empasis here has been shifting a tad I just added a new Pattern Guide for you on my About Wearing History Patterns page which should break down for you the difference between pattern releases, as pattern releases have changed since Wearing History has grown and changed.

I've been hard at work developing new blocks to base future patterns on- specifically I'm deep in the throngs of creating the first 1910s patterns for Wearing History!  The  Edwardian era has always been my first love for vintage and historic clothing, so I'm excited to be delving into this era with you.  Slow but steady- but keep a look out in the near future as we're starting with a "bang" with some great 1910s basic seperates which, hopefully, we can build a wardrobe around in future releases this year.

I hope 2012 is bright and new, and full of new possibilities and sewing adventures for you!

Happy Creating!

Lauren
